Americas sweetheart, Sandra Bullock returns to the big screen! Sandra plays Loretta Sage, a romance novelist who lost her husband and became a recluse. Her late husband was an archeologist so she has experience with lost languages and the like. Loretta writes a new book and her publicist, Beth (one of my favorite characters), played by Da’Vine Joy Randolph, sets her up on a book tour. The model from her book covers, Alan Caprison (Channing Tatum) is also on the tour with Loretta, when she is kidnapped by the billionaire, Abigail Fairfax, (Daniel Radcliffe) and taken to a remote island to uncover lost treasure. Alan discovers Loretta was kidnapped and enlists the help of his friend Jack Trainer (Brad Pitt) to rescue her.
The movie is absolutely laugh out loud hilarious. I had a great time watching this and it was nice to watch something funny and just enjoy it. Sandra Bullock is absolutely one of the best actresses and I can watch her in anything. Channing Tatum has some extremely hilarious scenes in the beginning and with Brad Pitt also. It was interesting to see Daniel Radcliffe in a villain type role, but it wasn’t too serious, he was also pretty funny. Beth, the publicist, was hilarious and Da’Vine was awesome in her role!
The movie is lighthearted and fun. If you just want to laugh and have a good time, this is the film for you!
Make sure you stay through the mid credits for surprise scene.
