'The War with Grandpa' is in Theaters on October 9th, 2020.
Robert De Niro plays Grandpa Jack, grieving over the loss of his wife, his Daughter, Sally (Uma Thurman) asks him to move in with her family. His grandson Peter (Oakes Fegley) reluctantly gives up his room and moves to the attic. Peter starts a war with his grandpa to try and get his room back.
The movie is funny and enjoyable, it’s a family friendly movie that has some laughs. I think it’s very relatable for anyone who has aging parents and sees the effects of becoming a senior citizen. The family dynamics of having teenagers and conflicts in the house is also something a lot of people can relate to.
I enjoyed it and thought it was silly fun. The show stealer was the youngest daughter, Jennifer (Poppy Gagnon) she loves all things Christmas and it was such a unique and quirky addition to the movie.
If you want to watch a funny movie to take your mind off these crazy times - this might be a good one!
