The Intruder is in theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
Meagan Good plays Annie, wife of Scott, played by Michael Ealy. The couple moves to Napa to start a family in the country. They purchase a house from Charlie, played by Dennis Quaid, who lived in the house his entire life. Little do they know Charlie isn’t ready to let go of the house and he’s not quite what he seems.
There was a couple good scares when you scream at and yell in frustration why are they doing that?! While it is suspenseful it’s not too scary and takes some time for the story to develop.
Meagan Good is a great actress but they made her character so naive. I felt like they made her clueless and I didn’t like that. Michael Ealy was pretty funny, he had moments with Dennis Quaid. I didn’t like that he “was a cheater” and flirting with the girl at the ice cream shop with his wife right there...I don’t buy it! Dennis Quaid was very cringy and I had no doubt after watching this that he can play a villain.
This is a silly, cringy movie, not that scary but kind of suspenseful. I wouldn’t see it in theaters but I think it’s a good at home popcorn flick.
