The Wedding Guest is in select theaters on March 8th, 2019.
With a title like The Wedding Guest, one would assume that there would be a wedding. Throughout all
94 minutes there were only hints at the wedding and never explicitly showed any wedding decorations
or hints that it would actually happen. Whether or not you would have watched the movie with the
pretext or anticipation of seeing a wedding, this movie was really was lacking in a climax.
While I
suppose the storyline was not all too bad, the scenes that were supposed to be action scenes felt so
bland and boring. The production could have been better if the film had more funds, but that was not
the case. With an actor live Dev Patel who has so amazingly starred in great movies such as Lion and
Slumdog Millionaire, I expected much more.
***SPOILER ALERT***
Basically, to save you the $12, someone dies and it was not even a good death, as if nothing happened.
Anyway, this movie could have been better if the actors showed a bit more expression and feeling. The
main girl was so wild and casual for someone in her multiple life or death situations. I wouldn’t
recommend this movie.
