Johnny English Strikes Again is in theaters on October 26th, 2018.
After a cyber-attack reveals the identity of all of the active undercover
agents in Britain, Johnny English is forced to come out of retirement to
find the mastermind hacker.
To begin with this movie just kind of starts. We jump right into the story,
which isn’t necessarily a bad thing however, it all felt incredibly fast
paced. We start in a classroom than we jump to MI7 than we jump to
halfway around the world in what seemed like the first 20 minutes.
The majority of the acting and jokes and just everything seemed very
over the top. I understand that is just part of this franchise and why
people come to see it but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s good.
The villain started out with promise but quickly fell short of expectations.
He seemed cool to begin with but very quickly became way to nerdy and
seemed like a knock off steve jobs who wanted to take over the world.
Not to mention you could see who the main antagonist was going to be from a mile away.
For all of the things that this movie lacks whether it be bad characters, bad comedy, or an unwanted
series of events to reach the climax, for some reason it just kind of works. Not all of it. But a decent bit of
it. So for a fun movie you could take your kids or family to this would probably be a safe bet.
