'A Simple Favor' is Filled with Plot Twists - Ashley B's Review

A Simple Favor is in theaters on September 14th, 2018.

A Simple Favor follows a mom lifestyle vlogger (Anna Kendrick) as she tries to find out what happened to her stylish best friend’s disappearance (Blake Lively). As more and more information is discovered, can this film debunk the idea that “secrets don’t make friends”?

I must say that I was not sure what to expect from A Simple Favor going in. Both of the starring actresses are not known for suspense or thriller movies so when it went in that direction I was shocked...and also pleasantly surprised.

This movie has the most twists and turns that I’ve seen in movie that actually made sense. Just when you think you know what’s going to happen the plot does a 180 and puts viewers on a completely different course which is refreshing and kept me with a shocked face most of the movie.

A Simple Favor is the type of movie you want to grab your friends and watch so you can all be in disbelief of what you just watched because it goes there. It is funny, suspenseful, full of mystery and twists molded all together to make one cohesive story.

Since it is based on a novel I will probably be adding it to my Kindle wish list as well as watch the movie over again to rewatch this crazy, intense movie all over. If you’re a fan of plot twists that will leave your head spinning and wanting more then I definitely recommend this one to you!
