Going into this movie, even if you saw the trailer, will not prepare you for what this movie is about. This is good and bad. This movie doesn't have the case where the trailer ruins the movie. Now of course, if you've watched the trailer, you've seen some parts, and you will be able to recognize them in the movie. This ends after the first fifteen minutes of the movie, after that, it is stuff you have not seen, and won't know about, unless someone spoils it for you.
I think we can all understand that this movie is pushing boundaries, and this movie wants to show you how things are in today's society, yet some will see it and others won't. Of course it is not word for word what is happening today, but it is in a round about way, and some of the events in the movie are very real on how we live life today.
The fact that when the main character watched TV, and would only cycle through three channels is an example of how real this movie gets. You maybe scratching your head right now, but if you think about it, you know it's true. Even if we have cable, with thousands of channels, we all find ourselves watching the same programs/channels over and over again.
I think if you're looking for a movie with an original idea, and want to see something that hasn't been on screen before, you should watch this movie. Be warned though, an original movie comes with consequences. There are elements in this movie that will make you scratch your head until you start to bald. Enjoy.
