Debbie Ocean gathers an all-female crew to attempt an impossible heist at New York City's yearly Met Gala. Ocean's 8 is in theaters on June 8th, 2018. Ok I’m going to preface this by letting y’all know I’ve never actually watched any of the Oceans movies. So some things were a bit lost on me but I still enjoyed the film. Sandra Bullock plays Debbie Ocean, Danny Ocean’s sister who just gets released from prison and goes back into a world of crime. With a star studded team led by Cate Blanchett the all female team decides to steal a necklace from the Met Gala. The cast for this was great, I loved Rihanna’s character “nine ball” and Sarah Paulson was perfect as Tammy - a suburban mom who loves the thrill of a good heist. I think there’s a character in this movie that we all can relate to. I loved seeing a team of clever, strong women who don't need a man! I will say that this is a very unrealistic movie - nothing ever really went wrong and everyone kinda just went along with it all. It was a little too perfect for a heist movie.
