Adrift Sets Sail on a Bore - Billy's Review

ADRIFT is in theaters on June 1st, 2018.

So Adrift starts off by telling you that the movie is 'Based on a true story.' This isn't a bad thing, but when movies start off that way, and you already know it's about people trying to survive at sea, you know someone has to live. So the movie itself, doesn't know what a spoiler alert is. Although they figured they would pull a larger audience because of the words 'based on a true story,' so maybe they knew what they were doing all along.

Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin star in the leads in this movie. While we do get to see some nudity from Shailene, it really isn't enough to talk about or make a point of. However, she chooses not to wear a bra, and maybe it was just me, but I found myself looking, as the water must have been cold, if you know what I mean...

I did feel that Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin had some chemistry, it seemed more forced than it should have been on screen. Plus watch when Shailene cries in the movie, I couldn't get past the face she kept making. Gurl, you know you cry ugly, I hope someone tells her.

I think if you're looking for a chick flick, you might want to watch this movie, as it does have some intense scenes when the storm hits the boat, other than that, the slow pace of this movie would put someone who already napped two hours earlier in the day, take another two hour nap.
